The trouble with some people's marriages is that they get stale after a while. For example, having children means they end up in a set routine that is wholly predictable, and they become in danger of losing the spark that keeps the passion burning bright.

Sadly, one or both people in a marriage can end up feeling lost, lonely, and unwanted, and it could potentially drive them to seek what they're missing from someone outside of the marriage.

The good news is that all is not lost. It's possible to bring that spark back into your marriage with one simple thing: making your union fun again! The following illustrates some examples to consider if you feel like your marriage is rather stale:

    1. Make Surprise Plans

The first thing you should try to ensure your marriage is fun again is making some surprise plans with your spouse every once in a while.

Take the time to research your spouse's work or social schedules, find a free space and keep that time clear in your diary. You can then take your spouse out for a surprise shopping trip to the city or go on a romantic river cruise, for instance.

    2. Get Some Body Jewellery

Another thing you could do to spice up your marriage is to get some body jewellery (i.e., body piercings).

A pair of gold nipple barbells at Urban Body Jewelry, for instance, can be a fun thing for your spouse to discover one day, and they're an example of how you could make things in the bedroom department more exciting too.

Body jewellery also shows your spouse you have a fun and intriguing side, one that you're inviting them to discover and enjoy.

    3. Send Each Other Romantic Texts

You both likely send each other SMS messages throughout the day when one or both of you are at work or elsewhere. Text messages are undeniably convenient and straightforward ways for spouses to communicate with each other.

Make your texts more romantic. You'll make your marriage more fun and engaging for each other, even if you just send simple messages like "I love you" or "you're so beautiful."

    4. Have A Date Night Once A Week

It's no secret that the demands of everyday life and family life can mean that spouses seldom have much quality time together. That's why both people in a marriage need to dedicate some special time that only they share.

For example, both people keeping their diaries free one evening each week can mean they have a "date night" together. They can do fun things like going to the cinema, seeing a sporting event, or having a romantic meal in an upmarket restaurant.

    5. Try Something New Together

One final point to consider for bringing back the fun and spark in a marriage is to do new things together. That might involve trying a new pastime or sport together, or it could even mean giving role play scenarios a go, such as pretending to go on a first date.
