Well, August, like most months, just flew by. We had nice weather at the start and then it went a bit downhill but we still managed to have a lovely summer. We decided not to go on holiday as it was too stressful with potential quarantines, covid restrictions etc. Instead we did lots of days out in our local area which was lovely and it was good to explore some places close to us that we hadn't been to before.
We are really lucky in that we live close to the sea, but also close to the countryside and city too so we have the best of all worlds and there is lots to do in our local area. I've started to follow some local accounts on Instagram too which gives me ideas for where to visit.

Unfortunately this photo doesn't include all of us - it was too busy where we were to try to prop my phone up and use a timer. I do really like this photo of the children though - it really highlights their personalities. I couldn't be more proud of them or happy that they are all mine.
This photo was taken at Ogmore Castle which isn't too far from where we live but we hadn't been there before. It is such a lovely place, I would definitely recommend a visit if you are nearby. There are lots of walks in the area too. I love going walking, in fact it's on of the things I am looking forward to doing when the children are all older and in school!
I'm hoping to carry on the walks and visits to nearby places over winter too, we'll just need to wrap up a bit warmer!
