Disclosure - thank you to Fashion World for giving me the outfit featured in this post free of charge in exchange for this post.
I love autumn. I love the bright, sunny days and the beautiful colours. I love walking in the afternoon, crunching the leaves between my feet. Someone said to me today that the autumn suits me and I guess that it does. I love dressing according to the season, layering up, wearing gorgeous coats and boots and I'm sure that shows.
I thought I would share with you one of my favourite looks this autumn / winter, and one that gets me the most compliments. One of the staple pieces that I buy every autumn is a coat to see me through the chilly autumn days and the cold winter months.
There are so many great looking and good value winter coats at Fashion World. This coat is a fit and flare coat and is in one of my favourite autumnal colours - burgundy. I love this coat because it looks really expensive - it looks like a wool coat but it is a much more practical (and machine washable) polyester. The detailing is spot on, with dark buttons and button detail side panels and it has a really flattering fit.
I've been wearing it open at the moment because of bump but come January I'm sure it will be a really flattering fit because of it's shape. Until then, on colder days I would team this look with a scarf, perhaps a chequered one from last season or a leopard print one from this season.
Underneath I am wearing a comfy striped maternity shift dress, also from Fashion World. It's on trend with it's breton stripes and is stretchy and comfortable - perfect for my growing bump! I know that it will last me until the end of this pregnancy. I've teamed it with maternity tights - another great autumn / winter staple and tan leather boots which are from Hotter Shoes.
Have you bought yourself a winter coat yet this year?
