It's Christmas party season coming up and if you are planning a get together with your work friends, school mums or even family it's important that you find the perfect venue. Here are some top tips for choosing the perfect venue for a Christmas party.
How many people?
You will need to know how big a venue to look for. Work out how many people you think will come to the party and go from there. Consider whether you are going to allow plus ones or whether you need to make it RSVP only if you are limited on numbers at your venue.
Location and facilities
You need to consider the location - is it easy to get to by public transport or is there adequate parking. Your venue will need to have enough toilet facilities and if you have guests coming from further afield (if it is a family party maybe) you might want a venue with bedrooms like a hotel so that they can easily stay overnight.
Figure out your budget
It's important to know how much money you have to spend - are you spending your work department's Christmas budget or is everyone paying for themselves? Your budget will make a big difference to the kind of venue that you can book.
What do you want included?
You'll need to decide what you want included in your party. Do you want a venue that can cater or just a venue that will let you bring your own buffet? Do you want alcohol to be served? Will you be wanting a dance floor? These are all important things to decide when considering a venue.
Plan early!
