Decorating the House with Christmas Crafts

    Dec 8, 2015 · Modified: Nov 29, 2023 by Ali · 21 Comments

I love getting crafty with the kids, and christmas crafts are the best. This year we have spattered some handmade Christmas decorations around, and not only do they look great, but the kids have had so much fun making them!

Firstly JB and I made this gorgeous wreath using her painted handprints and some extra glitter. It looks gorgeous up in our hallway but would also look great hanging on a door.

The girls made this gorgeous paper chains from Belle & Boo craft paper. I cut strips to size and they stapled them together. They look so pretty draped over the fireplace.

Bean and I made these origami stars to string from thread and mix with fairy lights on the stairs. They were harder than I thought to make but once you get the hang of it they get easier. We've just got a few more to make and then we can hang them up.

Making paper chains is a lovely activity to do with kids and I love the look of the wreath. I'm pretty useless at craft activities myself though.

I always think that the festive period is the best time of year to really get involved in crafty things - especially with the kids!

We never usually do Christmas crafts, but when I have kids that is definitely something I will do. It will be nice to have those memories.
