DIY Sweet Cone Party Bags

DIY Sweet Cone Party Bags

This year instead of making party bags for the girls parties we made sweet cones! Bean loved the idea (naturally!) and it was fun putting them together! I get so fed up of the tat we usually buy to fill out party bags. I know most of it usually goes in the bin as all the kids are interested in is the sweets. So I thought, why not just go whole hog and make a pretty party bag from sweets. It was much cheaper than buying all the bits for party bags and the children absolutely loved them.

Here’s what you will need…

Cone cellophane bags (get them here)

An assortment of sweets. We used millions, marshmallows and hearts.

Twist Ties

Just fill the cone bags up with the sweets – take care that smallest sweets are put in first. Create pretty layers then use the twist tie to secure the bag.

Finish off the look with a ribbon and gift tag.

Voila – beautiful handmade sweetie gift cones. So cute and the kids will love them!

I have made sweetie cones for the past two parties they work out much cheaper and easier than party bags, and less pressure to add extra toys to make them look more!

I have nominated you for One Lovely Blog Award 🙂
