This week I've taken on the job of sorting out my wardrobe ready for summer. Every spring / autumn I sort through my clothes and box up the ones I don't need for the season and store them in the loft. This gives me more space in my wardrobe for the clothes that I will be wearing and also gives me the opportunity to evaluate my wardrobe to see if there is anything I need. This summer things are opening up a bit more after lockdown so I needed some going out outfits as well as some more loungewear as I'm not ready to give that up yet!
I was sent some items from Femme Luxe which were perfect for topping up my wardrobe. This grey loungewear set is perfect for hanging around the house and the fabric is not too thick so it's perfect for wearing over the summer. It's lightweight and breathable and looks great on too.
It is super comfy and is my go - to outfit at the moment. I love loungewear like this that is really comfortable but also looks good if you need to pop out or someone comes to the door. I think if you matched it with a nice bag and shoes it's also a great outfit for heading to the shops or out on the school run.
Another favourite outfit I was sent is this cute black co ord set. I honestly wasn't sure about the cropped top but I think it looks great on, is really comfortable and stylish and it's good to move out of my comfort zone. My teenage daughter does however have her eye on this - unfortunately for me we are the same size now so she likes to borrow my clothes!
This is a great comfortable outfit suitable for staying in and going out and I can see that I will get a lot of wear out of it. There are lots of cute co ord sets on Femme Luxe so definitely check them out if this is your thing. I think a co ord set is a really easy way to throw a perfect outfit together. You know that the parts are going to look good on. But of course there is nothing stopping you from wearing the top and trousers separately. I think this top would look well with a long skirt or even jeans.
Now it's time to look at the going out outfits! I must say that I am so looking forward to heading out with friends a little more and dressing up and making an effort. This red bodycon midi dress is so flattering and comfortable, I can't wait to have somewhere to wear it to!
The fabric is soft and stretchy and covers a multitude of sins and it clings in all the right places. The spaghetti straps and pooling neckline are really flattering and the colour is simply gorgeous. It's very lightweight and cool so perfect for summer wear, although you could easily team it with a faux fur jacket when the weather is cooler.
The last dress I got sent is totally out of my comfort zone but would be perfect for a night clubbing or in a bar. This milkmaid top is a style I don't normally go for but it does look great on and is the perfect sexy outfit for a proper night out. It has cut out shoulders and is quite revealing and tight fitting.
Everything I got from Femme Luxe was true to size so no worrying about whether to size up or down and I was really pleasantly surprised with everything I received. I would definitely order from Femme Luxe again, especially for stylish loungewear.
