    Grey and White Stars Nursery

    Jul 3, 2014 · Modified: Sep 21, 2022 by Ali · 9 Comments

We have been slowly plodding away with the baby's nursery and it is finally finished! I actually really love it and am really extra pleased that it was done on a budget. I posted my Pinterest inspiration board here if you are interested to see where I went with it!

The room used to be my studio/study come playroom for the girls. Here is what it used to look like. We have moved the girls toys to downstairs in the dining room and cleared out my sewing things to a big cupboard and some storage boxes. I sold lots of stock too as I don't plan on working again until next September.

We used some paint that we had leftover from painting our bedroom and it was just enough to paint this small room. The mirror was painted with a taupe paint that we have used in the hallway. The print I made myself using Photoshop and put up in a simple Ikea frame. The stars on the walls are silver sparkly vinyl stickers I bought on Ebay. The changing station is a chest of drawers from Ikea and has a Mamas and Papas changing mat on top and Tommee Tippee Sangenic nappy bin. The blanket on the chair I made myself and doubles as a baby play mat. The blind is a simple roller blind in grey from Argos.

I am completely in love with this room. I think it is calm, peaceful and completely unique to our little one. I don't even mind that it is gender neutral as it is such a calming and beautiful space. I cannot wait for it's little owner to be here 🙂

Pretty, as neutral background :- Which allows for the addition of colour with soft furnishings etc.
