    Halloween Chocolate Graveyard Cake

    Oct 5, 2017 · Modified: Sep 21, 2022 by Ali · 14 Comments

Halloween will soon be upon us. We love Halloween in our house, and often get together with friends for a big party where we decorate the house, play games and eat Halloween themed food.

This chocolate graveyard cake is really easy to make, looks good and tastes really nice too. My children loved making it with me which adds to the fun!

All you will need is a basic chocolate cake, chocolate icing, some Oreo cookies and chocolate covered biscuits (The Leibniz biscuits you can pick up in most supermarkets are perfect). Then just pick up some black writing icing to write on the gravestones.

I used a vegan chocolate cake recipe but you can use your favourite recipe or even buy a shop bought cake to make it a little easier!

Just ice the top of the cake before decorating the top. Split the Oreo cookies and remove the icing from the middle. Crush the Oreo biscuits in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin. Sprinkle the biscuit crumbs on the top of the cake so that they look like soil.

Ice a few of the biscuits with gravestone messages such as RIP or draw crosses on them and push them into the top of the cake.

It really is as easy as that. It is a real centrepiece and tastes delicious too! Happy Halloween!
