How To Have A Luxury Home With Kids

When you have children there is a need to create a child-friendly sanctuary for them. Your home needs to be safe and nurturing. You want to be able to ensure that they have the ability to freely roam and have their imagination sparked in order to see them thrive.

This, however, does not need to be at the expense of your home styling. A child-friendly home does not automatically results in crayon doodles on the walls, toys scattered everywhere and a home that rivals your local playgroup. Would you believe you can actually have it all? A space that showcases your interior tastes and offers luxury for you, whilst the small humans have all they need.

Here are some times in how you can achieve just that.

    Plan Your Furniture

Everyone knows that luxury is in the details. So when it comes to your home styling it is important that you choose items that give you the luxury that you desire. You can still have designer sofas and have kids. The trick is about choosing wisely.

There doesn't need to be a compromise when it comes to your home and family. You can instil values within your children to ensure that these quality items are looked after. Ideas such as setting rules such as no jumping on the furniture or eating on the sofa are great ways to ensure that they are well looked after. Alternatively, you can utalise accessories such as throws and cushions to keep your furniture looking its best.

    Keep It Clean

A clean house is always more luxurious than one that has obvious marks and stains. Of course with small hands and sticky fingers roaming around this isn't always as straightforward as it seems.

When it comes to keeping on top of your house and keeping it sparkling clean you want to utalise a cleaning list. By having the tasks outlined you will be able to ensure that no part is missed and be able to manage your time to strike that perfect balance of being a hands-on Mum whilst also running and keeping your home in order.

    No Clutter

Children will play and generate mess. That is a fact of parenthood and one that you most likely know too well already. However, that does not mean that this needs to be how you live your day to day.

Having set rooms such as the childrens bedrooms or a play room is a great way to keep your family living areas clutter free from brightly coloured childrens items. Opting for storage solutions that compliment your decor is another way to guarantee at the end of the day that your tranquil home is back and you sit back and relax.

Now the trick on getting your home back like that is to make it into a game at the end of each day. Getting the children involved, not only will save you a job but will teach them going forward to tidy up after themselves and to help around the house.
