I have been reading lots lately - I've taken to getting up early and reading in the garden with a cup of coffee before anyone else wakes up. It really gives me a sense of peace in the morning and then I go and do a work out, either a yoga workout or a low impact, high intensity cardio workout on YouTube.
At the moment I'm reading The Shadow Box by Luanne Rice and I am really enjoying it. I also loved The Light Through The Leaves by Glendy Vanderah and The Speed of Light by Elissa Grossell Dickey.
A month or so ago I shared a video where I talk all about some books I have been reading lately...

We have just started the new season (4) of The Handmaid's Tale and it is brilliant, and as brutal as the previous series'. I have actually read the book many years ago and I'm inspired to read it again now.
We have been having a weekly movie night with friends over Facetime and it has been so great for keeping us connected over lockdown. We made the most of our Disney+ (gift subscription) have have watched all the Star Wars films and Marvel films too. Now we need to find a new series or theme of films to watch! The children really enjoyed Raja The Last Dragon and there are lots of new things coming out on Disney+ too over the summer so there's plenty to watch.
I'm still listening to podcasts and I am currently enjoying ones related to work. I've found the Make Money Blogging podcast by Digital Nomad Wannabe really inspiring and I'm also enjoying the Food Blogger Pro podcast. I've also just found the Jay Shetty On Purpose podcast and I think I'm going to love it. I just need more time to listen to them all!
I'm also still listening to the His Dark Materials on audible with the children in the car. We are about halfway through The Amber Spyglass now and it is so good, I really want to find out how it ends. I think we'll be playing it on every car journey over the summer!
This month I have made a couple of new recipes - a chickpea chocolate chip cookie recipe which I need to write up, and a delicious Vegan Orange and Almond Cake.
I'm still loving living in loungewear at home and have recently added another casual tracksuit to my collection. I love being warm and comfy at home and this gorgeous, thick oversized grey loungewear set from Femme Luxe is perfect for lounging around in.
I am really looking forward to going out with the girls though in the next week or so for cocktails and given that I haven't dressed up in 18 months I think a slinky black bodycon midi dress is in order! I love this one from Femme Luxe, it is stretchy and forgiving and instantly flattering.
Summer holidays start in the next couple of days here so I am planning lots of activities and days out for the children - I can't wait, I hope that the weather is kind to us!
