A new month and a new year and I love nothing more than starting from afresh! If you are a long time reader here you will know that I like to share with you a list of things that I have been enjoying, or have bought and would recommend over the last month and I also like to share these things on my YouTube channel when I have time!
I hope that you enjoy these posts as much as I enjoy reading other people's - I love seeing what other people are reading, buying and wearing, I get so much inspiration from it! So let's dive in without any more chatter!

Purchasing via an affiliate link doesnโt cost you any extra, and I only recommend products and services I trust. I may have been sent some of the products in this post free of charge or paid to feature them here. Thank you for supporting this blog.
I have been trying to get to the gym most days so I have been living in leggings and cosy jumpers. I love these leggings from and really rate these from eBay too. Pair these with big knits, my sleeveless puffer from Primark and my crossover DKNY bag and I am good to go for the day!
If I need a bigger bag to take my purse and my laptop for the day if I am working from a coffee shop or similar I am loving my new bag from Bostanten. They make so many stylish leather backpacks for women. I love the cream colour with tan detail and there are so many pockets so it stays really organised. My laptop is really safe and fits well in a secure compartment and it is so easy to carry. I totally love it!
We were away on holiday over Christmas so I got to do a bit more reading than usual. I read the latest Richard Osman Thursday Murder Club "The Last Devil To Die" and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend reading the series.
I'm currently reading "How to Kill Your Family" and enjoying it so far - I'm keen to pick it up to continue reading so I hope that it doesn't disappoint.
Next on my reading list is Lessons in Chemistry - feel free to write more book suggestions below in the comments section, I am always looking for new things to read.
On the plane to Barbados over Christmas I watched a couple of wonderful movies. Don't Worry Darling was my favourite - I loved the plot and the acting and everything about it! In fact I'd watch it again right now if I could and I don't say that about many films!
I also watched Amsterdam which was a little weird to say the least but quite interesting. Finally I saw Empire of Light which is a British film with Olivia Colman and was very poignant and thought provoking.
Since I've got home from holiday Love Island All Stars has been back on and it's my guilty pleasure! I tried to get the boys to watch Gladiators with me but they weren't interested! It's just like I remember it really but watching it when you are older the acting and staging is so much more obvious! I've also been loving Abbey Clancey's Celebrity Homes. I love the fact that the homes that they show are so unique and it has given me inspiration to make some bolder choices in our home.
I don't normally write about interiors in this monthly round up but I thought I would start in 2024 as it is such a big part of my life! I love interiors and I am always changing something at home. If you read my 2024 New Year's Resolutions post you will see that a big part of my 'to do list' for 2024 revolves around projects at home.
This year already we have re-arranged the utility room to make it easier to use with my back. This has meant more shelving in the study (moved up from the utility room). We also have got a new range cooker fitted which is stunning! It is a Rangemaster Professional Plus and it is definitely an investment piece!
Today I'm planning on re-organising the kitchen cupboards as we have lost baking tray storage now and some of our pans can't be used as they don't work on the induction hob. I love organising so weirdly this is a job I'm really looking forward to doing!
We have also had the pleasure of trying out a new Simba duvet. I have written a full review of it but while it is an expensive purchase I think it's well worth it to be lovely and warm in bed - especially in this cold weather. Also I firmly believe that buying quality items that might cost a little more is actually more cost effective in the long run, and much less wasteful.
Lastly I thought I would share with you things I have been doing this month to work in more self care. Firstly I downloaded the Headway app which is an amazing app that summarises various self-help books into the key points. I love reading self-help books but I rarely actually finish them due to lack of time. This app allows you to read (or listen) to a summary of the book in 10-15 minutes. Perfect for listening to on the school run in the car or I actually like to listen to them when I am in the gym - two birds with one stone if you like!
I've also been trying to look after my skin more. Since I came back from holiday with a lovely tan I've been keeping my skin moisturised and also keeping my face and hands hydrated. I'm loving Beauty Pie Balm Plantastic Deep Nourishing Balm and also their Super Healthy Skin Deluxe Body Moisturising Creme. For my hands I keep a pot of Burt's Bees Almond and Milk hand cream on my desk and in the car.
I hope that you found this post interesting - let me know what you have been loving this January too.
