As you know Bean is a fussy eater and she has recently decided that she does not like bananas. Well, hard luck Bean as I have made these yummy banana flapjacks today. They are not too bannanery so have fooled her and I have succeeded in squeezing one more fruit into her diet!
They went down very well at Jelly Baby's playdate this morning too as they are nice and soft for littler people!
Ingredients
250g oats
125g butter
125g light brown muscavado sugar
1 small / medium banana mashed
6tbsp golden syrup
Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan on a low heat. When melted add the oats and finally the mashed banana. Mix well.
Press down in a greased square tin and pop in the oven on gas mark 4 for 30 minutes.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes then remove from the tray and cut into squares before fully cooled.
