Summer Essentials From Smiggle

I absolutely love the summer holidays. I really like having the children home and spending lots of time with them and going on lots of different adventures. This year we aren't going on a holiday as such so we are planning lots of days out and trips which I can't wait for. I have stocked up on some summer essentials from Smiggle to see us through the holidays - they have some great bits which are really useful, not only for back to school but also for general days out and chilling at home. We headed into Cardiff for a browse around the store and the younger ones were like kids in a candy shop! There's so much to choose from and they always have new products - their new range is called the Beyond collection and it is colourful and stylish and includes everything from cool backpacks to matching lunchboxes, keyrings and water bottles. You can of course still shop online too, and they often have great deals on so it is worth checking out the website too.

Water Bottles

I picked up some new water bottles for the children. We are transitioning all our water bottles to stainless steel ones, they last so much longer than cheaper plastic ones and are much more sturdy - I think my children must use their water bottles as footballs at school! Miss J loves this bright rainbow bottle and it has an easy to use sports cap and handle.

The Lil' Mates Junior stainless steel bottle is perfect for my two year old as it has a flip open soft spout and a carry handle.

I also got this cool standard stainless steel bottle from the Beyond collection for Little Boy as he is dinosaur mad. These bottles are easy to clean and I usually fill them with water the night before and keep them in the fridge and the water is lovely and cold the next day - perfect for hot days out.

Bags

We love Smiggle bags - they have such great designs and are so comfortable to wear and sturdy too. I wanted a lightweight bag for Little Boy to put his things in when going to various sports clubs this summer and this Giggle by Smiggle bag is the perfect size and weight.

I also loved their bigger bags from the Beyond collection that match his water bottle and would be perfect for slightly bigger children.

Watch

My youngest daughter is at the age where she is able to go over to her friend's house a couple of doors down on her own. The girls are really cute together, hanging over at each other's houses and staying for lunch or dinner. I've found a watch to be really useful for her so she knows what time it is and what time she should be home as I'll usually tell her to come home for dinner at 5 unless I have arranged with the other parents that she will stay at theirs for dinner.

This watch from the new Beyond collection is really cool, it has a second hand so they can use it to time themselves when playing games outside and it has bright lights which she thinks are really fun.

Wireless Headphones

We spend a bit of time in the car in the summer going on adventures and with four children it can be a bit chaotic if they haven't got something to do. These wireless headphones are perfect for car journeys and means that they can watch different devices in the car or listen to different music and there is no fighting! They are really small so easy to pack. They come in 4 cool colours too. My children love them as they think they make them seem really grown up!
