What to do if your heart desperately needs a change in the interior, but neither the strength nor the finances allow performing a major renovation? Here are interior design tips that will help you quickly and easily transform your apartment with the means available and without much expense.

    Jump to:
    • Use a disco ball
    • Dried flowers as a decoration
    • Arrange the books by color
    • Keep your bike on the wall
    • Use frames
    • Hang several mirrors in the bathroom
    • Decorate with jewelry
    • Draw with scotch tape
    • Store your clothes in suitcases

A typical attribute of nightclubs and bars is an unexpected tool for the design of an ordinary apartment. You will be surprised, but it comes in handy not only for the home disco party. It will bring light to the interior - it will cast perky sparks and give a festive mood. Place the disco ball under the ceiling, in a corner, or take it to the bathroom. The main thing is to get some light on it - otherwise, the trick just won't work.

    Dried flowers as a decoration

Dried flowers can be a wonderful interior decoration. But not all plants can be harvested in order to turn them this way because they either fall apart or become unpresentable. You can dry plants yourself or order dried flowers delivery in London. In case you decide to do it yourself, you just need to choose the method of drying, which will help to preserve the plant.

The traditional method, between sheets of paper, is used mainly for greenery (leaves, stems) or small plants with small flowers. They are transformed into spectacular panels, which often decorate the walls. But you can use flat dry flowers in other ways. For example, decorate with their help a glass table (attaching plants from below), a window, etc.

    Arrange the books by color

Organize your home library in a new way: sort your favorite books according to the color of the cover. The exposition is easy to change, for example, arrange books according to the rainbow spectrum today and "stretch" the gradient tomorrow. This arrangement not only looks unusual, but it also reduces visual noise and arranges the space. It is clear that not all covers have bright colors - designers advise wrapping them in colored paper.

When such decor will get boring (this will also happen sooner or later), do something non-trivial - place absolutely all the books spines inside. After all, a little craziness will make life a little less boring. And the next time you clean your bookshelf, you can arrange them again in the classically correct order.

Keep your bike on the wall

Another strange prejudice is to hide your bicycle. Bring it from the garage or vestibule - let it take pride of place on the wall in the living room. For the interior, there are other storage ideas: you can hang the bike on mounts under the ceiling, put it on a window sill, or even on a pedestal. Such an unusual way of storage will allow you to creatively express your active nature, and in winter will remind you of warm days better than any photos.

    Use frames

Beautiful frames are good by themselves, even without pictures and photos. Artfully hang them on the wall and leave them blank. Or add unexpected items inside: seashells from a vacation, dried flowers, or postcards. Don't hesitate to put another frame - a smaller one - in the frame as well. And to visually unite different frames, paint them the same color.

Hang several mirrors in the bathroom

Why choose between several mirrors - just hang everything you like above the sink at once. Combine vintage frame sets with a modern magnifying glass. That way you can both brush your teeth with special care and comfortably apply the most complicated makeup. A nice bonus - a large number of mirrors will make the bathroom lighter.

    Decorate with jewelry

Get beads, necklaces, chains, and pendants out of your jewelry boxes. Make sure your jewelry collection is always on display. Not only will the jewelry hanging in rows adorn the hostess, but also her interior. And it will be much easier to choose what to wear in the morning.

    Draw with scotch tape

Create ornaments or place entire mottos on the walls. Use a door panel as well - don't limit yourself by frames. Unlike lettering done with paint, it's easier to remove the "calligraphy" from the duct tape later on. Especially if the walls are painted, tiled, or paneled with wood.

    Store your clothes in suitcases

Instead of the usual drawers or boxes for small items, put old suitcases on the shelves. Keep socks in one, gloves in the other, and jewelry in the third. Putting two or three suitcases on top of each other will make an unusual coffee table with storage space. And if you put one suitcase on a stool, you get an original bedside table.

Of course, these are only a few ideas, the possibilities are unlimited. There are no rules, let your imagination run wild, and perhaps you will invent something new. The most important thing is that you like the decor, nothing else should matter.
