Why A Cruise Is The Perfect Family Holiday
We have been on two family cruises and I can honestly say they are the best family holidays. When we mention that we are going on a cruise to friends or family they often ask us all about it, they presume that cruise holidays are for older people, that they are no good for families. Well I am happy to correct them every time and I think I've convinced a few people to book a family cruise holiday themselves. Here's exactly why I think a cruise holiday is the perfect family holiday.
The food!
One of the things we were looking forward to the most when we went on our last cruise was the food. Most food and restaurants are included in the price of your holiday and the food is plentiful and top quality. There is usually a separate sitting for children with child friendly food too so you don't need to worry that the children won't eat anything.
Travelling the world easily
There's no easier way to travel the world with children. When you check in on board you are given a cruise card which you then use every time you leave or re-board the ship. There are minimal check in and out queues which is a dream with children and it makes it so easy to see lots of different places. You simply wake up in a different port and head out to explore.
No luggage restrictions
Many cruise lines don't have any restrictions on the amount of luggage that you can take, and they will deliver it to your room which makes it so much easier than lugging suitcases around an airport. When you are travelling with a family it's hard to pack light as you well know so the lack of luggage restrictions is a godsend!
Kids Club
I know that for some people the jury is out on kids clubs but mine love them and so do I! The children's clubs are second to none and they have a whale of a time when they are there and us parents get a little break too which we deserve, especially on holiday. I feel like a good kids club makes it a holiday for everyone.
