    1. Go to the cinema

    With Spider-Man, War of the Planet of the Apes, Dunkirk and Girls Trip all coming to the cinema this July, there's no excuse not to spend time with your friends eating popcorn.

    1. Go shopping

     It's official - retail therapy is good for you . Now you can spend money without feeling guilty.

    1. Go for a walk

    Who said everything had to involve money? Head to the park or the beach and relax.

    1. Go to a theme park

    Find a cheap B&B in Blackpool and spend a day in its famous Pleasure Beach, where you can spend time watching the new £16 million rollercoaster Icon being built in front of your eyes.

    1. Have a pamper night

    Buy some face masks, stick on a movie and relax with your favourite girls. What's better!?

    1. Go on holiday

    Summer is all about having fun in the sun. Whether you stay in the UK or jet away somewhere warmer, treat yourself to a vacation this summer.

    1. Have a clear-out

    Give your bedroom a summer makeover, and get your friends to help out.

    1. Start a book club

    There are loads of great book releases coming this summer - buy one each and start a book club where you can share, review and slate the latest page-turners.

    Food is fun. Book a table at your favourite restaurant and share some food this summer.

    Summer plays hosts to thousands of music festivals. Attend one and let your hair down.

    1. Have a picnic

    Another food-related idea - prepare a picnic at home that you can enjoy together outdoors.

    Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to the community and spend time with friends.

    1. Go cycling

    If it's a warm and sunny day, then don your helmets and spend a day in the countryside.

    From horse-riding to paintballing, try a new activity this summer and see what you think.

    1. Outdoor swimming

    Don't stick to the swimming pool - try outdoor swimming if it's safe and warm enough.

    1. Make new friends

    Attend events where you can meet new people - with your old friends in tow, of course!

    1. Revise

    If you're heading back to school or college this autumn, spend time revising together.

    1. Get a summer job

    If you're running low on funds, get a summer job with your friends to kill time and give you more money to play with.

    From making trinkets to redesigning your bedroom, create something you're proud of.
