Well, December has come about surprisingly quickly hasn't it! It's been the weirdest year, I think everyone would agree with that. Back in March and April it felt like every day was dragging along but for me the end of the year has flown in, leaving me somewhat unprepared to be honest!
In Wales we are in a Tier 4 lockdown which means everything that is non-essential is closed and while it is very frustrating that we can't enjoy days out as a family or see our friends, I must say that we have simply gotten used to it. I have also tuned out of the news over the holiday season a little bit so I haven't got the constant gloom and doom of case and death tolls weighing me down every day.
The Covid situation here is pretty dire. There is a new strain circulating which is much more contagious and we are looking at home schooling again in January, which is a bit depressing considering that was a really difficult time and I was looking forward to having the opportunity to focus more time on work with the youngest starting nursery in the new year. But what will be will be, and as long as we are all safe, I couldn't ask for more than that.
This month's photo was taken today, on the beach. We are really lucky to live so close to the sea and I will never take it for granted. We picked up some snacks from Greggs and enjoyed a long walk. It was absolutely freezing though and just before we got home it started to hail!
I hope that you have had a good December, even though this has been a weird year, hopefully all this soon will be over and it's just one year in our lives. It will certainly be a year to remember though, and I keep thinking of the future when I'm telling my grandchildren all about it!
Here are some December photos from previous year's...
