    A Family Photo - December 2021

    Dec 28, 2021 by Ali · 3 Comments

Well, what a year. And we thought that 2020 was bad! 2021 saw more lockdowns, vaccination drives, working from home and holiday cancellations. To top off our 2021 we also all came down with a stomach bug over the Christmas period so we didn't have Christmas dinner or any of the usual festivities. We did manage to enjoy each other's company and sort out a bit of the house which was good though!

It also seems like EVERYONE has covid at the moment. It is more rife than I have ever known it to be. Who knew that nearly 2 years into the pandemic we are still in this awful position. We actually were supposed to be in the Caribbean this Christmas but we moved the holiday because of the pandemic, and we are very glad that we did.

The weather this December has also been awful - it's been milder temperature wise than usual but over the last few days it has rained non-stop, making it difficult to go anywhere.

The first photo was taken at church - we took part in the Crib service on Christmas Eve (before everyone got ill). We watch it every year but this year was the first for us taking part. N (2) loves being on stage and runs around very comfortably, waving at the audience! It has inspired me to look into drama classes for him in the new year - I think he would love it, and he has always been so expressive!

This next photo is our traditional Christmas Eve photo in front of the tree - everyone was starting to feel a little bit ropey by this point!

I hope that you have made the best of 2021 whatever the year has thrown at you, and I am praying for a better 2022 for everyone!

A great post to recall later too. The memories are great. Sorry for the bug and no dinner. Church pics are sweet. And yes the variant jeeps getting worse. But we would stay hopeful for the coming year. Xx
