Explore the Best of the Balearics with a Memorable Family Trip

Are you planning a memorable family holiday? The Balearic Islands are the perfect destination for your next family vacation. From Ibiza to Mallorca, explore the best of the Balearics with a trip that will create lifelong memories. With its stunning natural beauty, vibrant culture and array of activities, there is something to suit every member of the family. So why not plan an unforgettable getaway to these beautiful islands?

    Where to Stay

The Balearic Islands have some of the most beautiful and family-friendly accommodation options in the world. From Ibiza villas to Majorca hotels, there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking for a luxurious villa or a budget-friendly hotel, we have got you covered! So let’s dive right in and explore the best places to stay on your next vacation. .

    1. Ibiza villas

The Balearic Islands are known for their beautiful, white-washed villas. With a variety of affordable properties available on the island, it is no wonder why so many people choose to vacation here. Smaller, family-friendly properties are often referred to as “bungalows” while larger luxury residences are called “villas” but they all have the same location and amenities. Villas provide a perfect balance of privacy and shared space with plenty of space for kids to run around in - the ideal place for a holiday in Spain with kids and preferable to staying in Ibiza town. Santa Eulalia is a great place to look, as is the traditional village of Sant Jordi. If you are looking for a quiet but beautiful beach head for Cala Pada.

    2. Majorca Hotels

There are so many family friendly hotels in Majorca - it is a really popular destination for families so there will be something that you like there, for any budget. Take a look at Santa Ponsa, Cala Millor and Playa de Muro for nice places to stay.

    3. Air BnB

If you are looking for somewhere family friendly in a really quiet area, take a look at AirBnb and choose one of the lesser known Balearic islands such as Espardell Island. Here you will be able to enjoy peaceful time with your family and you won't want to venture far from your holiday home. This is really one of the most peaceful Balearic Islands holidays you can get.

    4. Camping in Spain

If you are on more of a budget consider staying on the mainland and staying on a campsite. There are some great campsite options, with great facilities for children so this is a great budget option for holiday destinations.

    5. Menorca Villas

Take a look at Son Bou, Cala Galdana and Punta Prima for beautiful beaches and white sand.

    What to Do

Majorca, Ibiza, and Mallorca are all great destinations that offer a variety of activities and experiences for the whole family. From exciting water sports in Majorca to boat trips in Ibiza, there is something to keep everyone entertained. Plus, explore some of the best beaches in Mallorca and Ibiza or visit one of the many family attractions on these islands.

Water sports - Navega Menorca offers scuba diving and snorkelling, boat tours, water sports, boat hire and speed boat tours. Perfect for families with older children.

Beach trips - There are so many great beaches in this area of the world. The best for families are...

    • Platja d'es Trenc - a popular beach with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby
    • Cala Mondrago - beautiful clear water, a snack bar and toilets. You can go snorkelling or hire a pedalo
    • Playa de S'Amarador - beautiful views and a cafe and beach bar as well as toilet facilities. Protected with a lifeguard at times too.

History - This area is rich in history and there are so many great places to visit...

    • Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca - a gothic roman Catholic cathedral
    • Carthusian Monastery Valldemossa - a palace and royal residence, this was also once home to Chopin
    • Castell de Bellver - a gothic style castle and one of the only circular castles in Europe.
    • Banys Arabs - The Arab Baths date back to a period between the 10th and 12th centuries, and were built based on antique elements and by recycling capitals from previous periods.

Waterparks - There are lots of waterparks in this area which are great fun with children. You can stay in a larger hotel complex which has one on site or visit an external one such as Twisted Water Park in Magaluf.

Shopping - If shopping is your thing when you are on holiday you won't be disappointed. Go for an evening walk in your local area and you will likely find market stalls popping up where you can buy some great trinkets. If you are after a big shopping centre the FAN shopping centre in Mallorca has shops, eateries, a play area and a cinema.

From traditional tapas restaurants to hidden gems, these islands have something for everyone. Tapas is a great idea for families with fussy children as you can order lots of smaller dishes for them to choose from.
