Collecting Conkers
Every autumn we have a little tradition where we put on our wellies, go to our local park, kick leaves and collect conkers. It is honestly one of my favourite days of the year - we have so much fun and the girls remember it year after year.
We collected an amazing 127 conkers this year so all we need to do now is find something to do with them! I have made a little Pinterest board of ideas but if you have any others please let me know! At the moment I'm leaning towards making a conker wreath.

I love collecting conkers too! There are many cool crafts you can make with them, like making animals out of them with the conkers as the heads and bodies and toothpicks for the legs. (Btw my English is failing me today so I had to look up what conkers are. Hope I got it correctly.)

Great pinterest board!! I'd never considered using conkers as decoration but looks like they work well. Conkers tend to go a bit try and dull after a while though and I'd be really disappointed if that happened to a conker decoration I'd made ๐

And of course having conkers in the house is meant to keep the spiders out, or so my Grandad used to tell me x

Love conker collecting. I love the different ideas of how to use them!!! Ours usually end up scattered around the window sills hoping the spiders don't crawl over them. Haha

I thought it would be too early for corkers. Will have to go on a conked hunt soon!

The conkers on our tree aren't anywhere near falling or being ready to get the conkers out yet. Might have to check this weekend, otherwise the dogs'll run off with them before N gets there.

A conker wreath sounds great for an autumn craft. You might need to think of a few more ideas being as you have so many though!

Conker. When you say the word over and over it sounds REALLY strange. Conker. Conker. Conker. Anyway, I digress! I have never taken the girls conker collecting. We've got a lovely wooded area near us - I'll have to head down there in the next few weeks and see what we can find! x
