Every year we have a tradition that we go to the local park and kick the leaves and collect conkers. I love doing this so much and this year it was extra special as it was the first time that we could walk to the park that we always go to from our new house.
I absolutely love where we live and we are so lucky to have so much beauty on our doorstep and still be not too far out of Cardiff (a must for a city girl like me!).
The youngest two scooted along - Little Boy is simply awesome on his scooter - considering he is only 2 and his sisters took a lot longer to learn how to scoot than him!
I took the opportunity to take some photos with my big camera - the park is really beautiful at this time of year.
We headed out after nap time and before dinner time and it was just a simple walk but the girls love collecting conkers and now we have a big bag of them I think we'll have to find some crafts to make with them! I'm thinking maybe a conker wreath for the front door?
I made a little video of our afternoon out. I've been experimenting with using different music on my videos, to varying levels of success, I'd love it if you could take a look and let me know what you think!

Lovely photos and video, that is one big bag of conkers there! I have struggled to find a conker tree this year and I seem to have missed the opportunity but there's always next year isn't there? #TheOrdinaryMoments
Conker hunting is so much fun isn't it - we were up to something very similar this week! And if you're after inspiration for what to do with them, we made leaves out of Fimo and strung the conkers between them to make autumn bunting (there's a post on my blog if you're interested in the details)
We haven't been conker hunting yet this year, it's such a tradition of autumn though isn't it? These are stunning photos, especially the ones of the flowers and berries. And your children are gorgeous. I love the music on the video too. xx
Fab photos. I went conker collecting with my daughter a couple of weeks ago, she loved it. That reminds me that I really should take my eldest at the weekend x
