Welcome to the first in my series of baby weaning recipes - Apricot Puree. I have already mentioned that I'm not much into baby led weaning - read all about that here. So I puree up food for Baby Sprout and I thought I would share with you my recipes starting here with Apricot Puree which is as simple as it comes.
Put 200g of dried apricots into a saucepan and cover with boiled water. Boil for 5 minutes until the apricots have turned plump.
Puree with a hand blender, adding more boiled water until you reach the desired consistency. Freeze in a silicone ice cube tray and when frozen transfer into freezer bags or boxes and use as required.
Remember to fully defrost and heat up any frozen puree before serving to your baby.
