A baby changing bag is a vital part of any new mum's kit. Choosing one is tricky - there are so many great ones out there. For me it needs to be practical as well as stylish. Having had two girls my changing bags have always been more girly so this time I was looking for a more neutral or boyish bag. The BabyBeau Joel Changing Bag ticks all the boxes for me.
The Joel changing bag by BabyBeau ticks a lot of boxes. It is roomy yet slimline. It is stylish also unisex. It is made of a canvas material with leatherette details. The leatherette is of such a quality that it looks genuine. The finish of the bag is really classy and I would be happy carrying it about and it would go well with lots of different pushchairs.
The bag has lots of lovely features - the whole inside organiser is removable so that the bag can be used as a regular bag when your baby changing days are over - a really nice feature. The organiser itself is a great black and cream stripe design and has lots of useful pockets, including a zipped one for valuables. It also has a zippered bottom so that you can expand the bag if you need to.
The bag comes with a leatherette bottle holder, separate zipped pouch and leatherette changing mat. I particularly like the changing mat as it is wipe down and nice and thick for baby to lie on comfortably. The bottle holder looks great, and would definitely come in handy if you were bottle feeding.
A unique selling point is that the Joel bag has rucksack straps - a great feature for keeping your hands free - and comes in very handy when you have other children to grapple with! It would also be really handy when carrying your baby in a front sling. I think it makes the bag appeal more to dads too - a less girly design and a more macho way of carrying the bag!
I can get plenty in this bag - a couple of changes of clothes, nappies, wipes, my purse and my phone as well as the changing mat and other bits and bobs ...
Clips to attach it to your pram are available separately but it can hang using the detachable shoulder strap. I think it looks great on my Bugaboo Donkey - and as it is quite a slimline bag doesn't get in the way when pushing the pram at all.
The Joel in Brown retails for £79.99 and is available from many high street retailers and online at Boots.

I'm looking at getting this bag! Do you have any photos of wearing it with the crossbody strap? I'm just trying to get an idea of how that looks, vs. wearing it as a backpack. Thanks so much! 🙂
