One of my resolutions every January is to read more. In fact I have set myself the goal of reading 52 books this year and I'm going to be tracking my progress on Goodreads so add me as a friend on there if you are interested in what I am reading. At the moment I'm reading Cilka's Journey which is a sort of follow up to the brilliant The Tattooist of Auschwitz, following the journey of one of the characters mentioned in the original book. It is as expected, utterly fascinating and horrifying in equal measures and has opened my eyes to some of the horrors that happened at this time, after the war had officially ended.
I am also reading Feel Better in 5 by Dr Rangan Chatterjee which is a great, easy to read guide to putting in place some simple habits that will add up to change your life for the better. It is really easy to pick up and put down and I'm hoping it will help me to easily fit some new habits into my routine to make me healthier.
Last weekend I went on a spot of second hand book shopping in Bath and picked up some great books - I LOVE pottering around charity shops looking for books! Here are some of the ones I picked up, I think I have a lot to keep me going!
A couple of weeks ago I went out for coffee with a friend and she told me that she had been utterly gripped by a drama on Netflix called Marchella, with Anna Friel. I hadn't heard of it but because she gave it such a glowing review I had to watch it and we've been hooked! It is a crime drama focused on a female detective (Anna Friel) and it really is gripping! We are about halfway through the third series and I will be gutted when it ends!
I have also been really enjoying the new Sex in the City follow on - Just Like That. It is lovely to see all the old characters and follow along with the next phase of their lives. It's had some criticism but for me it's just like seeing old friends so I was always going to love it!
Well, I've obviously been listening to the new Adele album - isn't she brilliant! I'm also carrying on listening to podcasts, and trying to get the children interested in them too. I absolutely loved the recent Jay Shetty podcast with Ed Winter, it was so informative and enlightening.
We are also continuing to listen to audiobooks in the car. We finished The Christmas Hirelings which was a lot better than I was expecting - we really enjoyed it, and it definitely doesn't just need to be read at Christmas. We have also listened to the Amelia Jane collection by Enid Blyton and today started The Demon Dentist by David Walliams.

I have taken a bit of a break from making things really over the last couple of months. I haven't even made anything for my vegan food blog since I made this Chocolate Chia Seed pudding back in November as it has just been so busy. I do have lots of yummy recipes in the pipeline though, don't worry!
Well, the last few months have mainly been about being cosy and warm so loungewear has been high on the list along with big knits! I did dress up for my birthday though in this really flattering and yet comfy burgundy wraparound dress.
I have bought more than a few big knits and got some others out of winter storage. I'm loving this neutral combination with these gorgeous soft leggings from Love Leggings. This teal knitted jumper from Femme Luxe is stunning too - it looks great with jeans, is warm and cosy and still is stylish with it's feature side split.
I also love this three part loungewear set in rust. It is so soft and comfortable and I think that because it comes in three parts it looks more put together than regular loungewear which is important to me.
If you are curvaceous or have a bit of a mum tum like me, I've discovered that bodysuits are an absolutely brilliant find! They don't ride up or fold in all the wrong places, instead they support and smooth out your silhouette. I bought a black bodysuit to wear on a night out before Christmas and this cream ribbed long sleeve popper bodysuit is gorgeous. It's lovely and thick and warm and I love how fitted it is and that it gives me a nice figure. The neckline is just at the right height too, to show a bit of cleavable but not be too busty.
Finally this winter I have been loving knitted dresses. They are so warm and yet still look stylish and put together - and who doesn't like wearing a full length jumper! Dress them up with chunky jewellery and boots or highlight your waist by wearing them with a belt. A great throw on outfit that looks good!
There are a few other things I have really been enjoying this January - my coverless duvet from The Fine Bedding Company and my Neom wellbeing pod being two of them. You can watch more of what I have been loving this January in a video I have put on my YouTube channel.
