As it was a bank holiday I like to treat everyone to a yummy special brekkie. This time I decided to try easy homemade chocolate croissants. They were great fun to make with Bean and tasted nice too! A fab lazy morning make!
Ingredients
Ready rolled puff pastry
Chocolate spread (Nutella or similar)
Egg wash (not strictly necessary but gives a better finish)
Method
Cut the pastry into triangles. I made ours small for mini croissants.
Add a dollop of chocolate spread (or a square of real chocolate)
Roll the triangles from the wide side to the small until rolled up
Pinch and curl the ends to seal. Brush with egg wash to give colour and seal edges down.
Place on a lined baking tray in a medium hot oven until brown and cooked through (about 15 minutes).
Enjoy! Be careful - the chocolate centre will be hot at first! These are also delicious cold for a sinful afternoon snack 😉
