Every year I take my eldest on a little trip during the summer, just the two of us. This year we went to London, you can read all about our trip here. Now Little Miss H is 6 years old we thought it was time for her to have a little trip with me on her own too. She's not a big walker so I had to think of a different type of trip for us so we decided on a spa weekend. I booked a luxury hotel in Bath (The Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel) and planned plenty of swimming, lounging and shopping!
We headed over from Cardiff on the train and had quick look around the shops. Little Miss J wanted a Build a Bear so we headed there before a spot of lunch in the restaurant of her choice - McDonalds!! We then went to the cinema to see Captain Underpants before heading to our hotel.
We took a long walk there alongside the canal which was really nice and checked into the hotel and headed straight to the pool. Little Miss J loved having me to herself and we played in the pool until dinner time. We walked into Bath to pick up some bits and pieces for a bed picnic and spent a lovely evening in our dressing gowns eating junk food while watching movies!
In the morning we headed down for breakfast which is always lovely when you're in a nice hotel. Then we headed off for another swim before heading into Bath to want around an art gallery, do another spot of shopping, lunch at Sally Lunns and a tour on the open top tourist bus!
We had such a wonderful weekend, it was so special to spend one on one time with Little Miss J and really spoil her. I think it's such an important thing to do, especially as we are so busy in our day to day lives and it's easy to miss out on the little things. I'll treasure the memories we made this weekend. I filmed the weekend and I'm so glad I make these little videos so we can look back on them later.

Oh this is such a lovely thing to do. I agree that it's so important to have quality time one on one sometimes. Your trip to Bath looks lovely, and we had a Sally Lunn bun when we went in February #mondayescapes x
