Australia has a lot to offer your family when you go on your next vacation. There is so much to experience in this nation that you may not be able to do it all in one trip. Whether you are on the east coast or the west coast of the continent, you will have plenty of fun adventures to go on that your family will be talking about for years. Here are a few Australian cities to visit with your family to make the best memories of your life.
Sydney
Sydney has so much culture and so many great activities. The biggest thing to do is to take a harbour cruise at Sydney Harbour. The cruises can be taken either during the day or at night. You can eat lunch or eat dinner and see the city skyline from the water. When on land, you can go to Taronga Zoo and see some of the most interesting animals in the world from kangaroos to koalas, sloths, and even a platypus or two may cross your path.
When near the water, you can lay out on the beach and play beach sports like volleyball or you can get in the water and learn how to surf. It’s all within your reach when you are in Sydney.
Mooloolaba
Mooloolaba is one of the gems of the Sunshine Coast. This ocean town gives you just about everything to do that involves the sea. The kids will be amazed at how there are so many things to do in Mooloolaba. You can take the kids to the aquarium where they will get a glimpse at the oceanic life of the southernmost points of the Pacific Ocean.
You can take the family whale watching where they can see the biggest mammals in the world jump out of the water and show humans exactly how small we really are. If you want to get closer, you can swim with humpback whales. From beach outings involving swimming and surfing to water sports like kayaking, the family will be busy all day long having fun.
The Grampians
The Grampians is located just to the west of Melbourne and it is the perfect destination for the family who likes to be outdoors. The mountain range offers a lot of rugged activities. There are several hiking trails in the area that will challenge your family up steep hills and inclines that will really put in a workout. For the more adventurous family, there is rock climbing up the sides of the mountains.
All roads lead to beautiful lookouts and cascading waterfalls. There is even canoe paddling and a full immersion into Aboriginal culture on Lake Bellfield in Brambuk.
There are many more cities and special spots to see in Australia depending on the ages of your children and how many people you are traveling with. This is why you are going to have to take several trips to see it all, and Australia loves to welcome visitors time and again.
