Why are Boots so Popular in the Fall?

Boots are a fashionable and practical choice for the fall. They are perfect for those chilly days, but they can also be worn in the rain or snow. They are a great transitional item to team with dresses on cooler days or over jeans with a chunky knit. They provide comfort, warmth and stability too. Boots really are so versatile and they can really complete an outfit. Below we are going to talk you through women's boot trends for Autumn 2022.

Mini Fur Lined Boots

I for one am very excited at this trend! I love a soft and comfy boot and these look perfect for throwing on at the weekend or more relaxed days as well as for the school run. There are some great copycat versions of these women's boots so you don't need to spend a fortune to achieve this look. I would buy a second pair to use as slippers at home too.

Chunky boots

Big, chunky boots are big news this autumn. Generally the chunkier the better. Think thick, rubber soles and you have got the idea. Choose a pair of chunky boots in an off white colour and team them with jeans or leather look leggings and a comfy oversized knit and you have the perfect autumn outfit that's easy to throw together.

Sock boots

These are really new for autumn 2022. Sounds strange but hear me out - these are generally chunky boot bottoms which reach to over the knee with a sock style upper. These are great with shorter dresses to extend your wear of them through to the warmer autumn months and perfect for those of you with larger legs as they are stretchy and will accommodate wider calves.

Chelsea Boots

To be fair, chelsea boots never seem to go out of fashion. They are so versatile - wear them with dresses, shorts, dungarees, jeans - they go with everything. You can dress them up or down too. Invest in a good quality pair and look after them well as they will last from year to year. Personally both a back pair and a tan pair are a must for the autumn / winter season.

Over the knee boots take a little effort to pull off, but look great when you do. Team with mini skirts, shorts or shirt dresses for a modern and on trend look. Again, this is a trend. that we see come and go so invest in a quality pair, maybe in a couple of colours so that you can wear them again and again.

Rubber boots

A welly boot is such a versatile addition to your autumn wardrobe. This year a rubber ankle boot is what you want to get - there are some really gorgeous ones out there that almost look like normal boots so they look good and are practical too, especially if you are always on the go. Wear them to take the children to the park, out for coffee with the ladies or walking the dog - you will probably never take them off!
