Mix Up Clay Review – A Mess Free Creative Art Activity

We were given a packet of Mix Up Clay for the purpose of this review. All opinions are honest and our own.

Are your children really into slime and anything gooey? It drives me mad, not only because of the mess it makes, but I don’t think there is anything constructive about it. I was delighted to discover recently Mix Up Clay which promised to be all of the fun and without the mess!

The girls sat down yesterday evening with the packet and they were really excited to get stuck in. The pack came with a ball of white clay and four little pots of a gooey paint like substance which you could mix up with the clay to make all different colours. I reminded them of their primary colours and what colours mixed together made other colours and they got stuck in.

The clay is really easy to use, and it doesn’t make a mess, even when you add the colouring. It was easy to mix together and make different colours too.

The girls loved getting creative with this, it was really light and malleable and they easily crafted their creations out of it. I loved it too as it delivered on the no mess promise!

Best of all, if you leave the clay out in the air for 6 hours it will dry and preserve your masterpiece forever!  I was expecting it to dry into a hard clay but it stayed soft and light which is great because it won’t smash or get broken!

Here’s what the girls made with their clay….

This little packed kept them entertained for a couple of hours and made no mess at all, I’ll definitely be buying some more as I loved how they used their imaginations to get creative with it. You can pick up a pack from Amazon for only £5.99 which is a real bargain for a couple of hours peace!
