These cookies are really easy to make - great for breastfeeding as they contain oats (any excuse!!) and fun to make with little ones. They are a real family favourite in our house as everyone can have fun making and eating them! Enjoy!

110g butter
110g self raising flour
110g caster sugar
110g soft brown sugar
250g oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon water
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 packet chocolate chips (approx 100g)
Method
Beat the butter until soft then add the sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Add the water, egg and vanilla and mix well. Mix in the flour, salt and oats and finally the chocolate chips.
Roll into small walnut sized balls and place on a greaseproof baking sheet in the oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees or until just golden brown.
Leave to cool for a minute or two on the tray before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
