If you want to make changes to your home, then there can be a quite a few changes that aren't going to cost much money. Tins of paint are pretty inexpensive, so you can sand down kitchen cabinets, and repaint doors and walls to your heart's content. But if you wanted to change something like your kitchen or bathroom, then 'cheap' or 'inexpensive' aren't usually the words that you associate with bathroom or kitchen redesigns. Don't worry though, this post contains some remodelling bathroom ideas on a budget so there will be something that you can take away from reading this and do to create a new looking bathroom.

You don't need huge mega-bucks to be able to transform your bathroom into a relaxing and refreshed space. There are things that you can do on a budget, to get a bathroom looking good and feeling like new. Plus, it is important to remember that a stylish bathroom is one of the home renovations that can add value to your home. So as long as you have some money to spend, you are likely to recoup a large amount of it back when it comes to selling your home. What are the things that you can do for an inexpensive bathroom renovation, though? Here are a few ideas for you. It would be great to hear what you think.

    Use Fewer Tiles

You can tiles at all different prices, but when you have a large surface to cover, even the cheapest tiles can really add up. So the best thing to do is to limit the number of tiles that you have in the bathroom. You could even think about getting something like bathroom walls panels instead of tiles in a shower or bath area, as it is a much cheaper alternative. If you want tiles, then just think about the 'splash' areas that really need the coverage. Other areas such as walls and above the sink could easily be just painted wall, rather than tiles to help you cut costs.

    Get a heated towel rail

A heated towel rail can double up as a radiator for the room, as long as it's not a huge bathroom which saves you buying two separate things and means that you will always have warm towels which will feel lovely! Trade Radiators have some great looking heated towel rails which are not only great value and practical but also add a stylish element to the room.

    Paint

As has been mentioned, painting something can be a pretty inexpensive way of changing up the look of something; repainting in a room will be the cheapest and one of the most effective ways to give your bathroom a different look. Something to consider is that there is more moisture in a bathroom than in other rooms in the house. And since mould and mildew can develop easily when there is excess moisture, humidity and a change in temperature, it is a good idea to make sure that you invest in high quality bathroom paint (they usually have a satin finish).

    Fresh Caulk and Grout

Something else in a bathroom, and it can get often overlooked but really goes a long way to the appearance of the bathroom is grout and caulk. It is easy to see when it gets mouldy and grimy, as it can get dark and look pretty gross. But by cleaning the grout and adding some more where needed, as well as adding fresh caulk to the fixtures and fitting that need it, you can easily make things look clean and fresh by spending very little.
