Top 10 Valentines Day Films on Netflix

Happy Valentines Day everyone! Do you celebrate in your house? Since the arrival of our middle daughter on the 15th February it’s meant that Valentines Day has been a bit of a dud for us! I don’t really like to go out on Valentines Day, we usually cook a meal and cosy up and watch a film together before getting everything ready for our birthday girl.

Once upon a time we used to pop out to the video rental shop to choose a film but now we have Netflix we don’t even have to leave the house which is brilliant, especially in this weather! So if you are looking for some inspiration on what to watch on Netflix this Valentine’s Day here are some gems!

Notting Hill

This is an absolute classic and although you will probably have seen it lots of times Notting Hill is a great choice. A bit of Hugh Grant never goes amis on Valentines Day after all!

Me Before You

I watched this a couple of months ago and I cried my eyes out! It’s such a great film and I’ve been meaning to read the book and the follow up book After You ever since.

The Notebook

My Mother in Law declares that this is her best film ever! It’s a great adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel and a great choice to cuddle up to tonight. Ryan Gosling is dreamy too!

Dear John

A romance centred around love letters to each other, it doesn’t get more romantic does it! I wish people still wrote letters! This film shows us that love can transcend the circumstances of our lives and that if you really love someone, you can let them go.

Bride Wars

If you fancy something a little funnier this Valentines try a rom-com like Bride Wars. Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are fantastic in this film and so much of it rings true!

This is an absolutely hilarious film and perfect if you are in need of a bit of laughter on Valentines Day. A great choice for couples looking for a bit of fun or to watch with your mates.

Couples Retreat

I love this film and it will strike so many notes for those of you who have been together a while!

Just Go with It

I haven’t seen this one yet but I am a fan of Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler is hilarious so this one looks promising.

The Accidental Husband

Another classic choice and an easy watch. An easy choice if you can’t decide on something to watch together.

The Age of Adaline

I’ll confess to having a bit of a girl crush on Blake Lively and I’ve wanted to watch this for ages to this will be my film of choice tonight.

So I hope that will give you some inspiration and that you have a great Valentines Day evening with your loved ones.
