I am passionate about doing whatever we can to help the planet and am actively seeking new and different products that we can buy that will reduce waste and are kinder to the environment. These Tru Earth laundry strips are revolutionary in that they save space, packaging, and plastic whilst also being kind to the environment. I think they are pretty special, read on for my full Tru Earth laundry strips review.

Save space
Tru Earth laundry strips come in a small, flat box which you can imagine will save lots of transport space and cost compared to bottles of laundry detergent. They also save lots of space in our utility room so they are perfect if you are short on space and don't want big plastic bottles of laundry detergent sitting around. The reduced physical footprint of this product means a 94% saving on carbon emissions and fuel consumption than the leading laundry detergent brand.
How do you use Tru Eath Laundry Strips?
They are thin white strips and they are so easy to use - you simply tear them up and put them in the laundry detergent compartment of your washing machine and they dissolve! If you have a top loading machine, just put them straight into the drum with the clothes. I must admit when I first used them I was a little suspicious of whether they would fully dissolve but they do! It's easier to do and far less messy than filling up the compartment with traditional powder or liquid. If you want to use more or less you just tear a strip in half or use two.
They are safe to use on most fabrics, except wool or silks and it has a shelf life of up to 3 years. They are suitable for using on cloth nappies too but make sure you check with the individual manufacturers first.
What scents do Tru Earth laundry strips come in?
They come in three scents, fragrance free, fresh linen and baby so that even the most delicate skin of your youngest ones are catered for. They come in different pack sizes too and you can subscribe to have them delivered at regular intervals meaning that you can just forget about it completely!

So, what's the verdict?
I was really impressed with how easy they were to use and how much little space they took up in our utility room. The fresh linen ones have a lovely smell that lasts and the baby and fragrance free are a bit gentler. My little boy has sensitive skin and often comes out in eczema after using some laundry detergents but he didn't have a reaction to this one. They weren't brilliant at getting out some of the more stubborn stains so I think that next time I would use two strips for stained clothes. Otherwise I really like them and plan to continue to use them.
