April has been quite a full on but also really nice month. We started the month at a wedding - the wedding of my best friend from university which was a really lovely event. The sun shone, and although it was cold it was a beautiful day. We hired a babysitter from the nursery that they use for their daughter which meant we could stay up as late as we liked, making merry and dancing, which it felt like we hadn't done together without children for years.
This photo was taken outside our room at the venue where the wedding was held. We had to drag Little Boy away from playing with the other children because I wanted a photo of us all dressed up before everyone's outfits got ruined! I love that this photo shows all of their little characters but looking at this photo really made it hit home how much weight I have put on recently. I still haven't got the motivation to diet though!!
The weather in April has been glorious and we have been working in the garden, planting flowers, jet-washing and tidying it up ready to spend more time out there. We've also managed to catch up with lots of friends and it does really feel like life is more normal. We've had plenty of difficult days this April though; my back has been really bad (the doctor thinks I have a compressed disc and I have an appointment to see a spinal surgeon next month). My eldest has had an exploratory endoscopy which we are still awaiting the biopsy results from and she has also had some teeth removed in preparation for braces being fitted next month. Baby N also started nursery school which has proved a little overwhelming for him, but hopefully he will settle into the new routine soon and it will be nice for me to have a little more time to work and keep up with things around the house.
I hope that your April was good, and if it was a bit up and down like ours, that you had more ups than downs.
