Spain is such a lovely place to visit with your family. The weather is generally warm and there is so much to do. Malaga is Spain's largest city and offers the best of all worlds in terms of things to do and see which makes it a great place to spend a week or two. Here are some brilliant things to do in Malaga with kids...
Hit the beach
Malaga has kilometres of sandy beaches so that would definitely be the first place I would stop with my kids. A couple of buckets and spades and we can play on the beach for hours. Just remember to avoid the harsh sun at midday. You could head over to the many restaurants to grab a bite to eat in the shade while the sun is at its highest in the sky. It's the perfect way to spend a sunny day!

La Calle Larios
This is one of the main shopping streets in Malaga so head over here if your family want to pick up a few souvenirs. You'll find all sorts of shops from designer to high street so there is something for everyone. If you stay out a little later head over after dinner to see the street entertainers, both adults and children are bound to love watching them. It's one of my favourite things on holiday to take a wander around after dinner while it is still warm and watch the street entertainment. We love to relax the routine when we are on holiday and a late night out might mean a bit of a lie in!
Museums
We always love visiting a museum wherever we go. Malaga has a couple which are worth taking a look at. Museo Automovilistico y de la Moda houses a private collection of automobiles and high end fashion. It looks spectacular and comes highly recommended. There's also the Museo de Malaga which gives free entry to EU citizens and contains fine art and archeological finds. It's probably suited to older children but is a great way to spend a cloudier or rainy day in the city.
