Recipe: Fruity Flapjacks

These flapjacks are packed with goodness and perfect for lunch boxes. They are also a doddle to make!


350g porridge oats

150g butter

150g soft brown sugar

4 Tbsp runny honey

50g raisins

50g cranberries

50g sunflower seeds

2 ripe bananas



Melt the honey, sugar and butter in a pan on the hob. When melted mix in the oats, raisins, cranberries and sunflower seeds. Mash up the bananas and mix them in. Place the mixture in a square tin with a removable bottom or a silicone dish. Cook in the oven on gas mark 4 for 30 minutes or until slightly brown on the top.

Leave to cool slightly, then slice into squares. Keep in a airtight tin for up to a week. Nom Nom.
